The
JCI Business Networking Event (BNE) is based on similar programs
conducted for several years and under different names by many National
Organizations. This JCI BNE Program has been re-designed by Kris
Sierens of JCI Belgium and the JCI Headquarters Staff to be an
effective tool for your Local Organization.
The BNE program was implemented during the 59th JCI World Congress in Fukuoka, Japan,
where more than 10 percent of the Congress international delegates
registered to participate. The feedback JCI has received regarding this
business event has been extremely positive.
JCI
recommends this project as an effective way to help Members and other
young professionals gain business exposure in a fast-paced,
results-oriented atmosphere. It can add entrepreneur-oriented
programming to the local community.Business Networking events have moved into the new millennium. For many years there have been few innovations in business networking events. Now, thanks to the efforts of a few passionate, inspired and driven young people there is a new way to network!
JUNIOR CHAMBER INTERNATIONAL invites all young entrepreneurs and professionals to participate in the BUSINESS NETWORKING EVENT.“In the past networking events where seldom effective. Very often I would go to an networking event and end up politely spending 15 or 20 minutes talking to someone I obviously would not be able to do business with”, explained Tan Khim Yew, President of Junior Chamber International Johor Bahru.
“Our new event allows a participant to meet 10 -15 business contacts in around an hour and a half. The method we use for running the event ensures that you do not waste time with some one you obviously will not be doing business with.”

Chamber International is a worldwide community of young active citizens ages 18-40 who are dedicated to creating the positive change they wish to see in themselves and the world. There are nearly 200,000 members active in 115 countries across the globe. JCI Local Organizations run similar business networking events all over the world.
During the networking event, participants will meet 10 – 15 new contacts. Using a special tracking system the participants identify others that they would like to connect with to get to know further. Then at the end of the event the organizers provide a summary of their contacts to them.
